It is important for a business to be aware and adopt the latest trends in technology so that it can gain a big share in the market besides developing a competitive edge over its competitors. There are number of software which make the management of the business easier and thus make the business to earn more profits. There are decision support systems, CRM, supply chain management system, ERP, and different information system to support nearly any business activity.
The ERP or enterprise resource planning system uses all the different ERP software to improve the efficiency of business so that the business is conducted in fast and efficient manner. It helps in planning of the resources, controlling different operations and for an overall management control. It is the vital piece of pie which every big organization having its branches in different states and countries should have.
There are different software as well which help in taking decisions. The decision support software helps in the comparison of different factors and the effect of the different factors. Say for example you have to plan a budget for marketing department. Then you have to look into the previous year spending for all those sales activities such as sales promotion, the amount that you can spend on advertising, the target that you have, previous year budget, the market share objective that is to be achieved and so on. This software will give you a comparative trend of all those factors which you consider important for the budget. It will also provide you with trend analysis so that you can analyze the conditions in much better way and plan a budget that is worth.
The technology is thus important for a business to thrive in this highly competitive market. And therefore financing also becomes important.. This is to be done by a team of information technology experts in the company who should analyze every aspect of the business and its requirement of technology. The team should search answer for following questions:
The long term benefits of technology
The ability of the competitors to gain advantage of the technology
The methods by which the technology can be implemented
Sustainability of the technology in future and trend in the technology
The company can be in need of a whole business redesign or a part of a business need to be restructured. A pilot project of technology implementation can also be taken up by the firm which is seriously considering the technological implementation to their business. The redesign of the business is important but it should be implemented carefully. A carefully structured strategy for financing technology can work wonders for a business but on other hand a hasty decision to implement technology without considering the long term outcomes can prove destructive. The decision of technology financing indeed is an important one.

About Different Network Topologies
Network topologies mean the physical layout of the network combined with its logical characteristics. The physical topology or layout refers to the configuration of cables, computers and other peripherals. Topology is the standard term used by the professionals when they refer to the network basic design. While setting up the layout of the network it is necessary to know hat type of equipment the network needs, its capabilities, growth of the network and the way in which network is managed.
There are four basic topologies that are used in the network design. Let us discuss them below.
1. Bus Topology
Bus topology is considered as the “linear bus” because the computers are connected in a straight line. This is the simplest and most common method of network computers. Bus topology has the main run of cable with a terminator at each end and all nodes such as computers are connected to linear cable.
Advantages
Easy to connect and easy to handle and implement.
It is best suited for small networks only.
Disadvantages
The cable length is limited and because of which the stations are limited.
Entire network shuts down if there is a break in the main cable.
It becomes difficult to identify the problem if network shuts down.
Not meant to be used as a stand-alone solution in a large building.
2. Ring Topology
This topology connects the computers on a single circle of cable. The signals travel around the loop in one direction and pass through each computer, which can act as a repeater to boost the signal and send it on to the next computer. It has no terminators at the end and thus is very different from the bus topology.
Advantages
Here a central server is not required for its management.
Easier to manage as compared to the bus.
Provides good communication over long distances.
It handles very high volume of traffic.
It is very reliable.
Disadvantages
The failure of a single node of the network can cause the entire network to break down.
The changes made to network nodes affect the performance of the entire network.
3. Mesh Topology
His topology offers best redundancy and reliability. Here each computer is connected to every other computer by separate cabling.
Advantages
The arrangement of the network nodes is such that it is possible to transmit data from one node to many other nodes at the same time.
You get the redundant paths so that if one cable fails another cable will take over the traffic.
Disadvantages
It is very expensive to install as there are lots of wires used in it.
4. Star topology
In this topology the cable segments from each computer are connected to a centralized component called a hub. Here the signals are transmitted from the distributing computer through the hub to all other computers on the network. The hub only manages and controls all the functions of the network.
Advantages
Easy to install and wire.
No disruptions to the network then connecting or removing devices.
Easy to detect faults and to remove parts.
Disadvantages
It requires more cabling than linear bus topology.
If the hub fails, nodes get disabled.
It is more expensive than linear bus topology.
Thus these are the various network topologies used in the organizations depending on the cost, length of the cable required, types of cable and future growth of the network.

Facts about the Solar System
We all know that our solar system consists of nine planets all of them revolving around the sun. But there are other interesting things which most of us don’t know. I discovered some while browsing through different websites. So, here I will share with you some interesting facts related to the fascinating system.
The gases and dust particles assembled billions of years ago and started the formation of solar system. They all assembled to form the sun and different planets.
The sun is one among the several stars that you see in the night sky. This is the star which lies close to our planet and hence we all feel the heat. There are 70,000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000 stars in the universe and sun is one of them.
The sun is surrounded by Mercury, Venus, and Earth. Then there is an asteroid belt after which Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune, Uranus and Pluto follow. The first three planets near the sun are the dense rocky planets while the other planets which lie after the asteroid belt are less dense gas planets. There are dwarf planets as well. These are Ceres lying in the asteroid belt, Pluto and finally the Eris located miles beyond Pluto.
Asteroids are the rocky planets that lie between the Jupiter and Mars orbit. These 90,000 asteroids are the remains of the solar system when it was formed.
Sun forms about 99% of the solar system. Besides planets and asteroids there are 172 moons of different planets, comets and dust.
Our earth is hit by about 10,000,000 kg of meteors everyday. So, lots of dust falls on our planet everyday.
The Saturn is one such planet in our solar system which will float on water if it is placed on it. That’s true! The planet is less dense than the water and if any such thing happens then it would be great to see.
Winds on Neptune are moving at the speed of 2000 km.
Mercury might be the nearest to the Sun but Venus is the hottest planet of our solar system.
Jupiter is the largest one. It is so large that it can hold around 1300 earth in itself.
Pluto takes 248 years to complete one orbit around the sun. It was discovered in 1930, so, we will celebrate its first orbit anniversary in 2178.
The red spot on Jupiter is the hurricane storm.
When Pluto is close to the sun its atmosphere is thin but when it is far away then its atmosphere freeze so that the collapse on the planet and Pluto resembles a comet.
The comets are lumps of ice which come from outer space into our solar system. When they come close to sun then the nucleus sublimates forming a cloud of dust and gas.
All these facts which listed here are just the tip of the iceberg. I suggest you to browse the websites and discover your universe yourself.

Importance of Simplicity in Technology
Technology is growing day by day and we are getting the latest products with the high-end specifications and features. The more the technology is advancing we are getting the many sophisticated gadgets and gizmos. They are very exciting to have in our hands but the main feature that should be seen in them is how simple they are! The design, appearance and fun factor are the preferred with the simplicity in mind.
Our lives though loaded with high technology that promises power and convenience, it leaves us fuming in frustration over jumbled software and hundred-page user manuals. So first and the foremost option is making the device very simple and user friendly. Technological success demands simplicity and it is the key factor which every brand company takes into consideration before devising any device.
The Beauty of Simplicity
1. Portability
The beauty of simplicity lies in the smaller and compact devices in the field of media and entertainment. As we can see the bulky CRT TV sets are replaced by the LCD or Plasma TVs. The music players in our homes have now become handy. Thus they are sleeker and smoother fulfilling our entertainment and our needs. The main thing we see that they are simple and anyone can handle them easily without the fear of being damage.
2. Size and budget
Other things that make the gadgets simple are compatibility and high storage facility. For example Xbox 360 is a high end specification and massive technical specifications. They are large, loud, and way too powerful for any game. They even require HD televisions, big sound equipment, wireless broadband internet access, and a dozen other things that not everyone can afford. So these things really make us think that are the simplest ones are Nintendo Wii which requires less support, less money, and less tech happy exploitation of finances. So budget is also the main simplicity factor.
3. Storage capacity
The basic reason behind the popularity of Nintendo Wii is 3D gaming and high storage capacity. With all these features the gadgets become simple to buy which are not very heavy on our pockets. Here the compatibility and high storage capacity speaks a lot.
4. Accessibility
The products have a user friendly interface, most attractive design, straightforward and stylish options that anyone can handle them. Thus the accessibility is also the main concern of simplicity in technology.
It is just to simplify the technology without sacrificing comfort and meaning. It is about subtracting the obvious and adding the meaningful. So if you want to add popularity to your product then it is necessary to add simplicity into it.

Automatic Transmission Fluid
This is the red colored highly refined mineral oil that is used in the vehicles with automatic transmission. The use of automatic transmission fluid differs with different systems. It is used as a lubricant and as hydraulic fluid in different vehicles.
There are three types of automatic transmission fluids. These are Dexron, type F and ATF+. The user manual list the type of ATF used in the vehicle. The manufacturers sometime refer different types of ATF products for different types of vehicle usage.
Modern automatic transmission fluids are formed from a combination of different types of chemical compounds so as to develop a particular ATF specification. These compounds can be anti foam additives, detergents, anti wear additive anti oxidation compounds, high temperature thickeners, petroleum dye and cold flow improvers.
To optimize the performance of your vehicle and its components it is important to perform a routine checkup of the fluid in your vehicle. For this park your car on a level surface and start the engine.
Keep the engine running till it warms up.
To check the ATF in your car keep the engine running. But with some cars it is not required to run the engine while you perform the check up. Therefore consult the user manual before you start the process.
Now with the ATF dipstick check the level of the fluid. This dipstick is similar to the engine oil dipstick but somewhat smaller in size. But before you use it wipe it either with a rag or a cloth for the purpose. Push it in the engine and then remove it. Scan it carefully for two different marks.
One mark is for warm and the other is for cold. Note the mark for warm reading. Now if the automatic transmission fluid does not reach up to the full mark it means that you have to add the fluid to your vehicle.
This is the fluid which is not used up when you drive your vehicle. Therefore if there is low level of fluid then this means that there is some kind of leek. Check your vehicle. Don’t ignore the fault as it may lead to some transmission repairs.
Consult the user manual to find out the type of ATF recommended by the manufacturer for your car. Purchase it and add the fluid in the small hole from where you took out the dipstick. Add slowly.
Don’t overfill the fluid. Overfilling leads to automatic transmission failure. The correct way to add the fluid is to pour slowly using the funnel and checking it simultaneously with the dipstick.
Some new vehicles don’t come with the dipstick. If you own such vehicle then don’t experiment. Find an experienced mechanic to add the fluid to your vehicle.
